Meet Kevin

Kevin Graf is a multi-instrumentalist, performer, and music educator with a background spanning rock, jazz, funk, blues, and contemporary music. Primarily a pianist and keyboardist, Kevin also plays and teaches guitar and electric bass, bringing years of experience performing in bands and collaborative musical settings to his lessons.

A graduate of the Recording Arts program at the University of Colorado Denver, Kevin combines his musical background with an understanding of recording, live sound, and music technology. He has spent the past several years teaching private students and coaching youth rock bands, helping musicians develop the skills and confidence needed to play with others and perform onstage.

Kevin’s teaching emphasizes making music—not simply learning exercises. Students explore rhythm, harmony, technique, improvisation, ear training, and the practical skills involved in learning the music they enjoy. He especially enjoys helping students understand how their instrument functions within a band and how listening, groove, and communication can turn individual playing into a musical performance.

Whether a student is picking up an instrument for the first time or looking to become a stronger and more confident musician, Kevin strives to create lessons that are engaging, practical, and tailored to each student’s musical interests and goals.
